I just started uploading videos and decided not to upload HD videos to Fotolia, hope others will follow because they are much more interesting outlets out there like Pond5 and Revostock

Comment on 23 Ways to Beat Photographer's Block

Great post, Lorraine.

You forgot an important one: shoot on film.

Used film cameras can be picked up pretty cheaply, either for your current lens mount, or even an old school manual camera. Shooting on film can really change the way you approach shooting.

It gave me a much needed boost!

Comment on Free Photo of the Week at Shutterstock

Hi,
Glad to stumble your article...Nice photo keep it up...

Comment on R.E.S.P.E.C.T. the Memory Card

Aw and here I thought you were going to have created a clever acronym for what to do like ...

R.emember to format the card.
E.dit after transferring files. I think they were all 4Gb and 8Gb cards. I only found out because I had one of the fake ones :(

Comment on Dealing with Rejection

Hey Robert! LOL, I can't read your German blog, but I can clearly see the universal language of approval/rejection in your chart! It's quite flabergasting the difference between the agencies, isn't it?

Comment on Dealing with Rejection

Dealing with rejection is quite an art... thanks for your 6 points list!

Comment on Dealing with Rejection

R. I have made a test about rejections in my blog as well, uploading 15 images to 10 different agencies: There is no pattern whatsoever who accepts what. Or in other words: It's all pure coincidence:
http://www.alltageinesfotoproduzenten.de/2009/03/09/die-ablehnquoten-von-bildagenturen/

Comment on Free Photo of the Week at Shutterstock

Thanks for pointing that out Matt, I never would have checked. I see the giraffes are there between last week's potw and this weeks vector. I couldn't even find it on the first 20 pages of the regular animals category; maybe that will change after a week of freebies and give it a bit of life. It sold again as sub today, poor buyer.
