Great post, Lorraine.

You forgot an important one: shoot on film.

Used film cameras can be picked up pretty cheaply, either for your current lens mount, or even an old school manual camera. Shooting on film can really change the way you approach shooting.

It gave me a much needed boost!

R.emember to format the card.
E.dit after transferring files. Format before use.
S.tore your cards in their cases or a plastic baggie.

If you have an Extreme III that corrupted something just check it is a genuine san disk one, there were a lot of fakes floating about a couple of years back - these had no serial number on the end of the card but otherwise looked identical to the real thing. I think they were all 4Gb and 8Gb cards. I only found out because I had one of the fake ones :(

Good motivational article. I have made a test about rejections in my blog as well, uploading 15 images to 10 different agencies: There is no pattern whatsoever who accepts what. Or in other words: It's all pure coincidence:

Thanks for pointing that out Matt, I never would have checked. I see the giraffes are there between last week's potw and this weeks vector. I couldn't even find it on the first 20 pages of the regular animals category; maybe that will change after a week of freebies and give it a bit of life. It sold again as sub today, poor buyer.
